Youth from the Central Valley are encouraged to apply to either Southern CA or Northern CA camps.

Southern California Camp: June 20 - 22, 2008 (Fri-Sun) at Cal State Northridge
The GSA Activist Camp is a youth-planned and youth-led 3-day event that features interactive hands-on games, activities, and workshops that teach:

• intensive community building
• skill-building
• political education
• leadership training
• and lots of fun!

Spend the weekend with 20 other youth from GSAs that are interested in creating safer schools for LGBTQ youth and straight allies throughout Southern California.

• Meet new friends!
• Learn skills to kick start your GSA!
• Bring back skills to make your GSA an ACTIVIST club!

All LGBT and straight ally youth can apply. Youth who will be in a high school or middle school GSA in California next year will be given priority. Youth of color, trans youth, and low-income youth are especially encouraged to apply. Cost: $20-$100 sliding scale - no one turned away for lack of funds; scholarships available.
