Kayla Kearny, a senior at Maria Carrillo High School in Sonoma County, came out to her peers and faculty at a school assembly on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. She shared her story again on Sunday, January 23rd, 2011 at a fundraiser for GSA Network, where we had a chance to meet her whole family. Kayla is making it better for LGBTQ youth by sharing her story with her community and the world. Go, Kayla!
