People packed a Central Fresno church Saturday with the goal of stopping violence against young people based on their sexual orientation.
Organizers say the majority of those who attended were 13 to 18 years old. Espii Gutierrez of GSA Network said, "holding it in and covering yourself up on who you truly are kind of gets really depressing and mental health issues start occurring by doing what we do here we are kind of defeating that and more youth can have a voice."
Organizers say about 200 people attended the event.
