That's why we're building the people power to transform our education system classroom by classroom, school by school, district by district—until every TQ2S+ young person can learn, organize, and thrive.

Black, Brown, Indigenous, and rural TQ2S+ youth face escalating attacks on our identities, our bodies, and our futures. STAR Freedom School provides the political education, community care, and organizing tools we need to not just resist but build power together.

GSA clubs are leading experiments in community-centered organizing. Through the Youth Freedom Fund, we directly resource clubs across the country to support student organizing, event planning, mutual aid, and the revolutionary work of building the world we deserve.

Psa: What’s a GSA?

Genders & Sexualities Alliances (GSAs) are youth-led clubs that unite TQ2S+ and allied youth to build community, support one another, and organize for change.

Originating as Gay-Straight Alliances in the late 1980s, GSAs now serve as safe spaces in schools and community settings—including alternative schools, home school collectives, LGBTQ+ centers, and youth organizations—and as platforms for racial and gender justice.

Gather

Break isolation by transforming schools into places where trans, queer, and Two-Spirit youth can show up fully, support each other, organize together, and lead campaigns that change our communities. Shift the culture by being together.
Support

Fight for the material conditions of TQ2S+ folks in schools and communities to make for a more just life for all. Share resources. Provide mutual aid. Etc. Change lives for caring for each other.
Act

Make change through political education, field organizing and direct action and build power by organizing with one another.
